Snowden's come forward  for asylum

Edward Snowden has issued an open letter to the people of Brazil expressing his desire to help investigating the snooping done by National Security Agency of Brazilian citizens. Snowden in his letter has asserted his willingness to assist, had also hinted his limit to do so until provided with a permanent political asylum.

In the recent past, there had been uproar in Brazil over reports alleging snooping by the NSA over key political figures.

Meanwhile, sources also indicate that Snowden has agreed to present himself via video conference to a European Parliament panel, civil liberties committee which is expected to be held in January. However the exact nature of testimony is yet to be revealed.
