India in the direction of through diplomatic war with US

In Indian establishment had taken several retaliatory steps in response to the arrest of an Indian diplomat in New York.

Police had removed the concrete security barricades in front of the U.S. embassy in New Delhi using bulldozer and tow trucks. The plastic speed breakers in place on roads running past the embassy had also been removed. There had been no official statements from either the police or from the government officials.

There had been several unconfirmed reports being broadcasted by the Indian television networks on various other steps being taken by the Indian authorities which include but does not limit to salary and bank account details, withdrawal of consular identification cards, access to airport lounges to other perks and privileges which is being currently enjoyed by the U.S diplomatic officials.

Devyani Khobragade, who is India's deputy consul general in New York, was detained on Thursday for allegedly underpaying her domestic help and committing visa fraud to get her into the U.S.  If convicted on both counts, she will face a maximum imprisonment of 15 years in jail. Khobragade is currently out on $250,000 bail after pleading not guilty to the charges and had surrendered her passport to the U.S authorities.
