Qatari flag enter's on Guinness World Records

Doha - State of Qatar had broken the record for world's largest flag on its 135th national day celebrated on 18th of December.

The white and maroon flag had been spread across 101,978 sq mi which is approximately the size of 14 football grounds. Authorities had informed the flag will be later recycled into 200,000 satchels for schoolchildren across 60 countries.

Draped over an industrial zone located to the north of Doha, the flag broke the record set by Romanian flag which had covered an area of 79,000 sq mi on 27th May 2013.

The new record holder, The Qatari flag had been almost 30% largest than the pervious record holder.
