Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is a famous and well known temple of Hindus, located in Tirumala in the hill town, near Tirupati in the Chittoor district of Andhra pradesh, in India. Tirumala, is a hill town in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra pradesh, India. Tirumala is a First most divine piligrim center of Hindu / Vedha Religion, popularly known as Sri Venkateswara Temple - which is dedicated for the Supreme God Shri mann Narayana / Maha Vishnu. As like Rama Avathara are known as Vibhava avathara of the God, the Sri Rengam/Tirumala/Badrinath are the existing places of Archavatharas of the Supreme God.

Tirumala Sri Venkateshwara Temple History:

The Tirumala Hill is 3200 ft above sea level, and is about 10.33 sq miles in area. It comprises Seven peaks, representing the seven hoods of Adisesha, thus earning the name, Seshachalam. The seven peaks are called Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrishabhadri, Narayanadri and Venkatadri.

It is by the Lord's Presidency over Venkatachala, that He has received the appellation, Venkateshwara (Lord of the Venkata Hill). He is also called the Lord of the Seven Hills.

It is said to had 50000 crores of property and is also the most visited place in the world as about 50,000 to 100,000 devotees visit the balaji temple in tirupati on a daily basis which is about 30 to 40 million people on an average in a year. During festivals or on special occasions like the Brahmotsavam, the number can increase to more than 500,000, which makes it further established as having the highest number of Pilgrims in the World. A number of legends are said to be related to the God in Tirumala, one of which says that the temple contains a murti or idol of the Lord Venkateshwara, which is believed in the future for the whole Kalki yuga.
