Mikhail Kalashnikov: Pure fascination to fire arms
Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov, who is
famously known for his invention AK47, passed away on 23 December 2013. Born on
10 November 1919 in Western Siberia ,
Kalashnikov had been fascinated with fire arms at his tender age. At the young
age of 10, he manufactured a small pistol.
Kalashnikov had designed AK47 which can be
fired in water, needs hardly any maintenance and is easy to use in snow or
dirt. The lightweight and effective range of 400 meters along with ability of
shooting single shots and multiple shots; it was an instant favorite among
various Governments, freedom fighters, rebels, army across the world.
