R&D in China
by Microsoft
Microsoft has launched innovation centre in
China
to carter the automobile industry. Microsoft Innovation Center’s are known to
be best in terms of facilities being designed aimed at co-operation on research
innovations, technology and solutions with active participation of academic,
government, researchers and industry.
Ralph Haupter had earlier addressed on
centre's key focus areas to be largely on research and development of auto
information system technologies, cloud-based mobile internet solutions, and big
data management and applications. This would be attained by adapting to four
trends that will lead global development in the next decade: mobile, social
networking, cloud computing, and big data, Haupter added.
Ralph Haupter,
who earlier served as area vice president (AVP) for Microsoft Germany had been made Corporate
Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Greater China Region at Microsoft
Corporation since April 13, 2012.
