The present nobel prize for physic's shared by Edinburgh university emeritus professor Peter Higgs and François englert.

Professor Peter higgs received for his thoey of Higgs boson

They received this nobel for their proposal by 1960s regarding the mechanism that the universe building block have masses.

Prof. Higgs received his nobel medal from Sweden's King Carl Gustav at the Stockholm Concert Hall just before 1600 GMT.

Higgs was at Edinburgh University when he came up with the theory.

Particle prediction mechanism was made easy by -the higgs boson theory after this thoery finally discovered in 2012 at the large hadron collider on the french-swiss border.
