In 2007 bill illegal the ordinary bulb for its poor efficiency and thereby 60 watt and 40 watt
incandescent bulbs replaced by the CFL lamps.
On Jan. 1,2014
the manufacturers planned to stop its production. But on the other hand the law
stated to improve the performance of the bulb such that 40w draws 10.5 w and
60w draws 11w.
But manufacturers
couldn't achieve the same and it was found to be replaced with CFL,HD LED
lights that gives more brightness and consumes less power proving themselves to
be energy efficient.
As this is
the month of festive and lights the stock holders clear their available
incandescent lamps in this season as the calendar down to the birth of upcoming
new year 2014.the purchase of lights was more as it was cheap and also it is
remembered to be the master piece of Thomas Alva Edison the scientist.
